The Pacific Technical Assistance Mechanism Phase 2 (PACTAM2) is part of Australia’s aid program funded by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and managed by Scope Global. PACTAM2 works in partnership with Pacific island partner organisations. The goal of PACTAM2 is to contribute to poverty reduction in the Pacific and contribute to national development priorities, by recruiting highly skilled advisers to provide technical assistance and build capacity in partner organisations.
Each PACTAM2 adviser position is unique, designed to reflect the development objectives of each country and to meet an identified need for technical assistance where specialist skills are not locally available.
PACTAM2 advisers work in a wide range of sectors and initiatives including health, education, governance, environment, agriculture, finance and infrastructure.
We welcome applicants from all over the world. Families are supported and encouraged to accompany advisers on their assignments.
Assignments vary in length, with positions available intermittently, short term (less than six months) or long term, depending on the assignment objectives.
PACTAM2 advisers are located throughout the Pacific region, with the program currently operating in:
Federated States of Micronesia (FSM)
Republic of the Marshall Islands (RMI)
